Sinha Regiment warriors were awarded with \"Rana Wickrama Padakkama\" & \"Rana Soora Padakkama\" at a graceful ceremony held at Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at Ambepussa on 19th November 2016 and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Major General Boniface Perera grace the occasion as the chief guest.
Many Senior Officers, Officers, senior Non Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks participated for this prideful event along with wives, children and parents of deceased Sinha warriors.
945 Officers and Other Ranks who belonged to Sinha Regiment, the only Rifle Regiment in the Sri Lanka Army which has a proud history of 60 years who have shown bravery in the face of enemy during previous humanitarian operation and during pervious operations received 82 Medals of \"Rana Wickrama Padakkama\" & 863 Medals of \"Rana Soora Padakkama\". 27 Medals of \"Rana Wickrama Padakkama\" & 15 Medals of \"Rana Soora Padakkama\" to deceased war heroes were awarded to their NOKs.
