The Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment conducted a training programme on knowledge and attitude development for eighteen junior officers. This was the second training programme for this year conducted for the junior officers.
Colonel Wajira Amarasiri, The Deputy Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre has addressed them on 6th July 2023, before the training programme started.
This knowledge and attitude development training programme was conducted under the directions and guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General Priyantha Jayawardena. The training programme was designed aiming the development of personal knowledge and attitudes of young officers. Some of the objectives intend to achieve were; to educate on military ethos, to enhance the knowledge on combat appreciation, to develop personality and ability of public speaking, to develop junior level leadership and team building, to educate on Army and Regimental customs and traditions and to familiarize with the role and tasks of a junior leader. The course was conducted for three days till 8th July 2023.
