The Sri Lanka Army 23rd Inter Regiment Para Archery Tournament commenced at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) in Ambepussa on 07 July 2022.
Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant, SLSR graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with all the Staff officers of the Regimental Centre RC SLSR. Teams representing SLLI, SLSR, GW, GR, VIR and SF Regiments participated in the Para Archery Championship tournament.
The lighting of the Oil lamp symbolized traditions and day’s proceedings followed by a two-minute silence observed in the memory of Fallen War Heroes.
Later, Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant RC SLSR read the commencement speech of the archery meet followed by the reading of the oath of the players and the oath of judges respectively, set the stage ready for commencement of the meet. The tournament will be ended tomorrow (08).
