1 SLSR Wins Inter-Battalion Swimming Competition

The 2024 Inter-Battalion Swimming Competition, hosted by the 8th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, took place at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in Ambepussa on 8 February 2024.

The championship was won by the team from the 1st Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, while the Runners-up position was claimed by the team representing the 11th (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in the swimming competition and S/385648 Rfm Bandara EMKGS (1 SLSR) emerged as the Best Swimmer.

Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander Security Force Wanni and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment graced the occasion as the chief guest together with Brigadier JKR Jayakodi RWP USP, Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Brigadier LD Perera RWP RSP USP, Director of Rehabilitation/Post Rehabilitation Assistant Branch, BCGR and Colonel TBMR Kandekumbura RSP USP, Deputy Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Further, Senior Officers and Officers from Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment witnessed the Competition.
