The Monthly Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SVB -SLNG) for the First Quarter of 2026 was successfully conducted on 15 February 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Regimental Centre under the patronage of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Kumarie Pallekumbura. Members of the Executive Committee together with other members of the Branch participated in the meeting.
During the session, activities carried out in January and the first half of February 2026 were comprehensively reviewed. Particular attention was given to ongoing welfare initiatives benefiting serving personnel, retired war heroes and their families. Progress of previously planned projects was evaluated, and constructive recommendations were made for improvement where necessary.
Future programmes and welfare-oriented initiatives scheduled for the forthcoming months were also deliberated in detail. Emphasis was placed on strengthening family welfare, educational assistance programmes, and community support activities under the guidance of the President, SVB-SLNG.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with clear directives for systematic implementation of the planned programmes, reaffirming the continued commitment of the SVB-SLNG towards the welfare and well-being of the Regimental family.
