The funeral of Second Lieutenant YMSB Thilakarathna, platoon commander 5th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard who passed away on Monday (09) while on of Young Officers’ Training Course at Commando Training School–UwaKudaoya took place at General Cemetery, Madiligamaon Thursday (12) amidst military honours and a gathering of his close military colleagues, family members and mourners.
The Commander of the Army and also the Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka National Guard Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu paid his respect at the military funeral. At the cemetery, large number of Officers and Other Rankers paid their final salute to the late officer.
