Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honor saluted the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment, Major General N R Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the Regimental Centre premises, Kurunegala on Sunday (11) under the health guidens issued by AHQ with attendance of limited crowd.
Troops of the SLNG presented a great Guard of Honor at parade ground. Officers and Other Ranks were present to witness the event.
Addressing the troops, the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment thanked All Ranks for their generous assistance and support extended to him during his tenure.
The outgoing Colonel of the Regiment bade adieu to the Regiment in the dawn of 11 th July 2021 amidst gracious greetings of all Guardians, leaving a sigh of remorse in the hearts of Guardians Family. All the Guardians off their hats to Major General N R Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu for the invaluable contribution rendered towards the SLNG.
