Vesak Lantern displayed by the SLNG " Sadisa Wandanawa " was adjudged as the Best Vesak Lantern at the Budhdha Rashmi Vesak Zone at Gangaramaya Temple.
Accordingly, making of the Vesak Lantern based on “Sadisa Wandanawa” was under taken by Former Regimental Sergeant Major S/28Q00003 WO I HKUP Senevirathna along with Other Ranks of SLNG under the supervised by Commanding Officer 17 SLNG, Major DR Tharukarathna SLNG.
Over 500 creations of Vesak Lanterns from Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Civil Security Department, Civilian Organizations and individuals were exhibited at the Budhdha Rashmi Vesak Zone, Gangaramaya.
The Regiment of Sri Lanka National Guard congratulates the officers and men who were involved.
