A welcoming reception for 6 newlywed Guardian Officers and their spouses who got united in 2017 was held on 18 November 2017 at the Officers’ Mess- Regimental Centre SLNG under the auspices of the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc.
Newlywed Guardian couples were warmly welcomed at the Officers’ Mess by the Colonel of the Regiment and Regimental Officers, having them accompanied in a gracious procession amidst tolls of auspicious drums. A series of fun games had been arranged at the event for the couples’ enjoyment. Army cultural dancing troupe provided spectacular dancing displays to the event.
The event was graced by Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, President of SVB – SLNG, Mrs.Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramaratne, senior members of SVB – SLNG, Regimental Council Members, Commanding Officers and Regimental Staff Officers.
