A sleeping mattresses production project launched by the Regimental Headquarter Battalion, SLNG was commissioned on 8 April 2017 under the guidance of Colonel of the Regiment, Maj Gen A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, the project was ceremonially launched by Hon. President of SVU- SLNG Mrs. Ruvini Sujeeva Wickramaratne at the presence of the Colonel of the Regiment.
Concurrently, senior officers attended the event went on an observation tour at the site of ongoing construction of library and Computer lab buildings at the SLNG Heraliyawala Camp premises. The Centre Commandant, Brig D H M W B Tammita, Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel J M R N K Jayamanna RWP and Regimental Staff Officers too attended the event.
