The youngest member of SLNG family, 26 SLNG proudly claimed the ownership of their Officers’ Mess on 26 November 2017. The newly –built Officers’ Mess was declared open by Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc at an auspicious moment.
It is worth noting that the Officers’ Mess complex has been constructed utilizing the manpower of Battalion members and raw materials gathered in the vicinity. The battalion was gifted with the Officers’ Mess with the unveiling of decorative plaque.
The event was attended by Deputy Centre Comdt, Colonel Nalin Bandaranayake, SO I (LOG), GSO I, Officers of the battalion and a host of officers and Other Ranks.
