SLNG OFFICERS TRAINING DAY HELD FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER -2017

The Officers Training day of Sri Lanka National Guard got underway on 17 November 2017 for the Fourth quarter of 2017. The event had been organized on the guidance and supervision of Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc and it was attended by nearly 200 SLNG Officers with Council Members.

On the premise of the farsighted concept of the Colonel of the Regiment that, "All officers should be endowed with a wholesome personality nurtured with knowledge and should be empowered the subordinates". Several resourceful lectures were scheduled during the day at the new Auditorium Heraliyawala Watta. Major N W M U B Nakkavita, delivered a worthwhile lecture on "Sexually Transmitted Diseases", followed by a presentation on "Rohingya Refugee Crisis and its Effects " conducted by a panel of officers, headed by Commanding Officer 5 SLNG.

On the sidelines of the Training Day, he Colonel of the Regiment delivered a resourceful presentation focusing on SL Armys history, its dynamic transformation over the passage of time including its present organization and currant extensive engagement of the army in nation building endeavors.

The invited lecturer for the Diners Club Dr. Aruna s. Gamage, Senior Lecturer, University of Sri Jayewardenepura grabbed the attention of all attendees with the lecture on " Effective Communication For Productive Relationships
