The newly constructed house for S/Q108186 Lance Corporal Chathurange NDT of 13 SLNG, residing in Thissamaharama who became disabled in battle was ceremonially handed over to the war hero’s family by Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, Colonel of the Regiment SLNG and Mis Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramaratne, Hon. Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Unit on 14 May 2017. The financial allocation for the construction were collected as indicated below and 3 SLNG provided their noteworthy contribution manpower assistance for the construction.\r\n\r\nFrom Army Seva Vanitha Unit : Rs. 100,000.00\r\n\r\nFrom Seva Vanitha Unit – SLNG : Rs. 100,000.00\r\n\r\nFrom Regimental Centre SLNG to complete the construction:Rs. 253,205.00\r\n\r\nThe event was attended by members of Seva Vanitha Unit – SLNG along with Officers and Other Ranks of the SLNG battalion. Some electronic appliances were gifted by the SVU – SLNG at the event to the Non- commissioned officer.
