COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT COMMENCES BATTALION VISIT.
The Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka National Guard Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc made a visit to Regimental Headquarter Battalion - SLNG on 18.11.2016 as the first visit of his scheduled visits to Battalions of Sri Lanka National Guard.\r\nMajor General Wickramaratne was greeted on his arrival by a guard turnout and a sapling was planted in the camp premises to mark the visit of the Colonel of the Regiment.\r\nIn his address to differently abled war heroes, Major General Wickramaratne commended the selfless sacrifices made by Guardians in the Island\'s three decade long armed struggle against separatist terrorism. The event was attended by the SLNG Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Regimental Staff Officers and Council Members.
