Under the coordination of the Governor of the North Western province and with the guidance of the Commander of the Army, a cleaning programme was conducted on 28th January 2025 at the Kurunegala Railway Station as part of the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative. Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), along with Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, were invited to inaugurate two new accommodation facilities at the SLNG Regimental HQ Battalion premises at Heraliyawala, Kurunegala, this evening (11 October).
