A Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour saluted the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment, Major General R W W A D B Rajaguru RWP RSP USP ndc psc in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the Regimental Centre premises, Kurunegala on Thursday (26).
Troops of the SLNG presented a Guard of Honour at parade ground. Officers and Other Ranks were present to witness the event.
Addressing the troops, the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment thanked All Ranks for their generous assistance and support extended to him during his tenure.
The night unveiled a dinner hosted in honor outgoing Col of the Regt and outgoing president of SLNG SVB, Mrs , Shirani Geethanjalee Rajaguru. He took the opportunity to convey his gratitude to the Council members ,all Staff Officers and for all the Commanding Officers who offered their maximum support during his tenure.
The outgoing Colonel of the Regiment bade adieu to the Regiment in the dawn of 27th April 2018 amidst gracious greetings of all Guardians, leaving a sigh of remorse in the hearts of Guardians Family. All the Guardians off their hats to Major General R W W A D B Rajaguru RWP RSP USP ndc psc for the invaluable contribution rendered towards the SLNG.
