MAIDEN COMMANDING OFFICERS’ CONFERENCE PRESIDED BY INCUMBENT COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT HELD
A conference for SLNG Commanding Officer\'s took place at the Regimental Conference Hall on 09.12.2016 presided by Colonel of the Regiment Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc with a view to streamline administrative matters of the battalions of the SLNG Regiment. All Battalion Commanding Officers attended the event and measures to resolve administrative issues of units and action plan for institutional improvement of the Regiment was amply discussed during the meeting. Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Wickramaratne addressed the Commanding Officers and outlined his overall assessment of the performance of the battalions and set forth the planned targets to be achieved in 2017. It was followed by interactive sessions with the Commanding Officers with a view to deliberate on common issues confronted with battalions and to determine corrective approaches to get rid of such impediments. The conference drew to a close with successful gains in respect of Regimental upliftment.
