\'GUARDIANS’ MELA TRADE FAIR AND MUSICAL SHOW 2016 DAY 1
The opening day of ‘Guardians’ Mela Trade Fair and Musical Show 2016 successfully got underway for the third consecutive time at the Maligapitiya Ground, Kurunegala on 30th December 2016. This multi-variety entertainment show was organized by the Sri Lanka National Guard under the guidance of Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, the Colonel of the Regiment SLNG, assisted by Brigadier D H M W B Thammita, Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka National Guard Regimental Centre.\r\n\r\nThe event was ceremonially opened on 30th December by Hon. North western Provincial Governor Ms. Amara Piyaseeli Rathnayaka at the request of Colonel of the Regiment Major General Piyal Wickramaratne.\r\n\r\nThis multi-variety Show was aimed at further strengthening the SLNG’s Welfare Fund, consisted of stalls filled with Festive decorations, clothes, dry food items, essentials, readymade garments and many more. \r\n\r\nMusical entertainment added colour to the event throughout, pleasing thronging crowds.
