Gift parcels containing school accessories, each worth Rs 3500/= were distributed among 21 SLNG Ranaviru children who have lost their fathers or become disable in the war.
The occasion, presided by Mrs Thelma Perera, Chairperson, SLNG Seva Vanitha Branch, also saw three children who had lost their fathers were given scholarships which offer them Rs 2000/= per month until they enter the universities.
On the same occasion one more disable War Hero received a commode set to the value of Rs 16,500/= for use in his house.
