The awarding ceremony of the Army Inter Regiment Drill and Pace Stick Competition - 2023 took place on Thursday (30) at Panagoda Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Parade Square, headed by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Guardians drill team was crowned as Champions and is worth nothing that gained overwhelming victory. GUARDIANS could grab the Drill title for 5 years and that could create history in the 74 year old Army and the SLNG history. Further, SLNG Pace Sticks team become 2nd Runners up in Pace Stick Competition.

WO II Premajanthu - Best Commander Pace Sticks Competition
L/Cpl Weerasundara WMSL - Best Band Master
This unparalleled victory is testimony to the unity, the fighting spirit and the organizing capability of the GUARDIANS tribe.
The Constant guidance, supervision and the motivation provided by the Colonel of the Regiment, the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers and Officers were the big strength to the drill team during the competition. SLNG Regiment congratulate all members of the drill team and officials who have brought glory to the Regiment.
