Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka National Guard Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc paid a visit to 3 SLNG on 14th May 2017,at the invitation of Major S S M Dissanayaka SLNG, Commanding Officer- 3 SLNG.
Colonel of the Regiment declared open the newly refurbished Unit Commanding Officer’s office and Non- Commissioned Officers’ Club(NCOs’ Club) which got a new facelift with the contribution of unit funds and Battalion NCOs
.The troops of 3 SLNG accorded a guard turnout on the arrival of Major General A P De Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc which was followed by a troop address by the Colonel of the Regiment.
The incumbent Colonel of the Regiment marked his arrival at the battalion by planting a sapling.
Further, the event was attended by General Staff Officer I, Regimental Adjutant, Officers and Other ranks representing Regimental Centre and 3 SLNG.
