The national inventions exhibition 2017 (Sahasak Nimavum 2017) organized by Sri Lanka Inventors Commission got under way on 28,29 and 30 September 2017 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center and S/Q109572 Warrant Officer II Nalin Kumara of 9 SLNG who produced an innovative production secured the first place at the event.
Having been guided by Commander of the Army Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc to encourage talented Army personal to present their productions, SLNG took measures to direct Guardians to produce novel innovations.
40 invented products from Army had been on display at the exhibition in a total of 450 inventions and this stupendous achievement by a guardian is really a cherishing accomplishment by the Regiment.
An evaluation certificate along with a cash prize of Rs.100,000.00 was awarded to WO II Nalin Kumara at a ceremony held on 26 October 2017 at the BMICH.
