Officers of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers bade a farewell to Major General SA Pathirana RSP the former Commander FMA - North on 30th June 2023 with the presence of the colonel Commandant in company with number of senior Officers, Officers and their wives.
On the last day of his service, in conformity with military traditions Major General SA Pathirana RSP was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier SANJ Ariyasena and accorded a Guard Turn out on his arrival at the venue. Then, he was invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour. Afterwards, accompanied by Senior Officers and officers, he took part in a tea party at the Officers’ mess - RHQ SLEME and shared a few thoughts with the gathering.
In The evening, a banquet was held for the outgoing Major General SA Pathirana RSP, at the RHQ Officer’s mess. The Center Commandant Brigadier SANJ Aryasena, appreciated His service rendered to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and to the Sri Lanka Army.
Out going Major General SA Pathirana RSP was presented with commemorative Memento by The Commander Army Logistics Comd and Col Comdt of Corps of Sri lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Major General S P A I M B Samarakoon hdmc Lsc, and all the officers.
Number of senior officers, officers and their wives participated in The Farewell mess night of Major General SA Pathirana RSP.
