RHQ SLEME HONOURS ONE OF THE SENIOR OFFICERS IN THE REGIMENT ON THE EVE OF HIS RETIREMENT

Officers of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and mechanical Engineers bade a farewell to Major General DP Hathurusingha USP the former Commander FMA – Central on 19th August 2022 on completion of his 34 years of illustrious military career in the eve of his retirement with the presence of the Colonel Commandant in company with number of Senior Officers, Officers and their wives.

On the last day of his service, in conformity with military traditions Major General Deepal Hathurusingha was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier Sanjaya Pathirana and accorded a Guard Turn out on his arrival at the venue. Afterwards, he was invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour. Afterwards, accompanied by Senior Officers and officers he took part in a tea party at the Officers’ mess - RHQ SLEME and shared a few thoughts with the gathering.

Major General Deepal Hathurusingha joined Sri Lanka Army on 06th October 1988 and was commissioned on 05th October 1990. He completed nearly 34 years of service and held a number of key appointments in the organization.
