Brigadier OMD Gunasinghe assumed duties as 18th Centre Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers at the Regimental Headquarters – SLEME at 1044 hrs on 22nd of February 2021.
The newly appointed Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed on his arrival to the Regimental Headquarter. Thereafter, he was bestowed with Guard Turnout according to military tradition.
Subsequently, newly appointed Centre Commandant symbolically took his office placing the signature on a formal document at an auspicious time amidst Seth Pirith Chanting by Maha Sangha.
