Brigadier Indu Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc assumed the duties as the 10th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) during a formal ceremony held on 12th January 2021 at the Regimental Headquarters - SLEME, Colombo 2. He holds the appointment as Director, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at AHQ in addition to his new appointment. The newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier Nilam Herath on his arrival and invited him to review the Guard Turnout and Parade presented by the troops, in accordance with military traditions followed by a troop address and an all-ranks Tea with the participation of the Other Ranks. The Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the SLEME joined the ceremony and congratulates the new Colonel Commandant for his new appointment.
