Officers of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers bade a farewell to Major General D A Amarasekara USP the former Commander FMA - Mulathivu on 22nd February 2024 with the presence of the Colonel Commandant in company with number of senior Officers, Officers and their wives.
On the last day of his service, in conformity with military traditions Major General D A Amarasekara USP was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Colonel D A Sirimannage and accorded a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the venue. Then, he was invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour. Afterwards, accompanied by Senior Officers and officers, he took part in a tea party at the Officers’ mess - RHQ SLEME and shared a few thoughts with the gathering.
In The evening, a banquet was held for the outgoing Major General D A Amarasekara USP, at the RHQ Officers’ mess. The Centre Commandant Colonel D A Sirimannage, appreciated his service rendered to the Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and to the Sri Lanka Army.
Outgoing Major General D A Amarasekara USP was presented with commemorative Memento by The Deputy Chief of Staff and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Major General S P A I M B Samarakoon hdmc Lsc, and all the officers.
Number of senior officers, officers and their wives participated in The Farewell mess night of Major General D A Amarasekara USP.
