Officers Mess Night at Kingsbury Hotel was held on 16th December 2019 in a very glamorous way. Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva Commander of the Army, together with Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President Army Seva Vanitha unit at the invitation of Major General Duminda Sirinaga , Colonel Commandant , SLEME graced anniversary glorify ceremony.
Major General Duminda Sirinaga and Mrs Sirinaga warmly welcomed the Day’s Chief Guest and his spouse.
SLEME history book “ 70 Wasaraka Piyasatahan ” was released on that accasion and it was presented to the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc by the SLEME Colonel Commandant. Afterwords Major General Sirinaga appreciated the participation of the Commander by awarding a special replica of Unibuffel to the Commander as a token of memory on the 70th Anniversary celebration. Also the Commader left compliment in the SLEME Vistors book before his departure.
