Brigadier C Kalutharaarachchi assumed duties as the 20th Centre Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on 09 October 2023 amidst religious observances and military formalities.
The incoming Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel PDLAC Sirisena RSP Lsc, Deputy Centre Commandant RHQ SLEME, after he was greeted with a Guard Turnout and awarded parade. During the parade he addressed all Officers and ORS. Afterwards, he symbolically left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office after observance of religious rites and rituals.
Moments later, he posed for a group photograph before he participated in an All Rank tea.
Prior to this appointment, Brigadier C Kalutharaarachchi served as the Brigadier Admin and Quartering, SFHQ (West).
