CORPS OF ELECTRICAL AND MEHCANICAL ENGINEERS COMMENCED THE 69^TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS WITH DUE RESPECT TO THE FALLEN HEROES

In line with the 69th Anniversary celebrations, the Corps of Electrical and mechanical engineers ceremonially conducted the Remembrance Ceremony in tribute to the fallen brave-men on 1^st December 2018. The ceremony was held before the Corps of Electrical and mechanical engineers Monument at the school of EME Gannoruwa as the first event of the series organized for the 69th Anniversary celebrations.

The event was graced by the Colonel Commandant, Brig MAAD sirinaga with the participation of serving and retired senior officers, widows and children of the fallen heroes who made supreme sacrifice in hard earning the respectable peace in the motherland.

The programme of the event started at 0900 hrs as the dedicated squad of troops marched in for the salute and managing traditional military formalities, religious rituals and laying of flower wreaths in between.
