The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Regiment (SLEME) secured the overall championship for the 11th consecutive year as the 60th Army Athletics Championship 2025 concluded on 20th August 2025 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama. SLEME dominated the three-day meet, collecting 272 points, while the Artillery Regiment finished a distant second with 198 points. The Service Corps (SLASC) claimed third place (164).
Accordingly, new records were established by the players of SLEME athletics pool in the athletics meet. Cfm Puvitharan A, set a new Sri Lanka record in Pole Volt. (Performance 5.18m) and L/Cpl Rathnasena ALAT , set a new meet record in 400m Hurdles. (Performance 51.36 sec).
