Brigadier GV Elapatha VSV Drill Nursery declares open at RHQ SLAGSC

In appreciation of the invaluable service rendered by Brigadier GV Elapatha (Rtd) VSV to the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps as the first Colonel Commandant of the Regiment, a Drill Nursery to honour his name was ceremonially declared open at auspicious time on 1 March 2024. The Drill Nursery aims to facilitate the army personnel of SLAGSC to enhance their skills of performing proper drills.

The participation of 91 year old Brigadier Elapatha at the opening ceremony was commended by the Colonel Commandant as well as all other officers. The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and senior officers Major General RKP Ranaweera USP (Rtd), Director Budget and Finance Management, Major General AMKGPSK Abeysinghe graced the occasion as invitees. The Center Commandant, Colonel MKSS De Silva and all other senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
