The farewell ceremony for Brig RPS Padmashantha (Rtd) Lsc ,the former Director Budget and finance was held at the Regiment Centre on 28th April 2023. The occasion was organized to pay gratitude after completion of 33 years of successful service in the Sri Lanka Army.
Centre Commandant, Col MKSS De Silva welcomed the Chief Guest and invited to review the Guard turnout at the entrance and attended the ceremonial commemoration for fallen war heroes at the monument. He was accompanied to receive the final salutation of the Regimental Troops at the parade ground.
All Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment Centre extended their heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Senior Officer for his commitment and dedication to the Regiment and wished him for a healthy, wealthy, peaceful and prosperous life at the All Ranks Tea party.
The Chief Guest attended the Dinner Night at the Officer’s Mess. Maj Gen MWTC Mettananda USP ndc, the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment delivered the customary farewell speech on behalf of all Officers of the Regiment to extend a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation of the service of Brig RPS Padmashantha (Rtd) Lsc. During the farewell speech, the Col Comdt recalled some of the salient achievements and milestones of Brig RPS Padmashantha (Rtd) Lsc and some cherished memories as well.
A special memento was presented to Brig RPS Padmashantha (Rtd) Lsc by the Col Comdt in appreciation of the dedicated service rendered by him to the Regiment.
