The Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps celebrated its 71st Anniversary on 29 Nov 2022 in RHQ premises, showcasing glamour and pride in a grand scale. The anniversary day celebrations included Guard turn out and ceremonial parade for the Colonel Commandant.
Major General Chanaka Mettananda accepted the salute as the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on the parade accorded by the troops of General Service Corps in front of highly attended gathering at the parade ground. Colonel Commandant extended his gratitude to troops for their great commitment for success of all exceptional commitment to the service.
The day was followed by All Rank Tea, a Volleyball Match, All Rank Lunch, a cricket match. The musical show headed by the Chief Guest brought the Corps Day ceremonies to culmination.
