Under the guidance of the President, SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ruvina Mettanada and coordinated by Mrs.Rukmani Rathnayake, a member of the Seva Vanitha Branch, a workshop on “Empowering Self Employment” was conducted by Mr Pasindu Rathnasekara, Lecturer of University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Founder and CEO of Eclipse (Pvt) Ltd at the Regimental Lecture Hall on 12 Nov 2022.
The programme was initiated primarily to focus on the importance of Self Employment as a benifit for the family and to the economy at large. The event was well attended by many wives of SLAGSC soldiers.
The lecture and the interactive discussion were very much appreciated by the energetic self employers as they were able to closely interact and share their experiences while capturing innovative ideas.
The Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC Maj Gen MWTC Mettananda USP ndc, Centre Commandant of SLAGSC Colonel Piyal Samaraweera, Commanding Officers and Members of the Ladies Club participated at the event together with the wives of the Soldiers.
