SLAGSC Avurudu Pola 2019 was organized under the instructions and direction of the DGFM, AHQ and Col Comdt SLAGSC Maj Gen W R Palihakkara USP to sell the products harvested from SLAGSC Farms and trade school kuttigala as a welfare project to the soldiers and families of SLAGSC, Offrs/Soldiers of other Regiments Located at the Army Cantonment - Panagoda at a concessionary rate in the festive season.
Brig P W G J K Wijesundara Director Budget and Finance, AHQ declared open the Annual 'Avurudu Pola' 2019 (New Year Fair) of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps as the Chief Guest on 11 April 2019 at Regimental Ground.
Chief Guest and other senior officers visited the stalls and also exchanged pleasantries with the vendors.
Colonel H A P P K Hewawasam Deputy Director, Directorate of Pay and Records AHQ, Commandant, Trade School Kuttigala Colonel R P S Padmashantha Lsc, Lt Col N A S C Perera Staff Officer 1 (Logistics), Lt Col T G N de Silva Staff Officer 1 (Administration), Cos' of the Battalions, Senior Officers and other officers were also present during the event.
