SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch organized and conducted a blood donation camp in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service on 24 August 2018 at the SLAGSC Auditorium, Panagoda.
Mrs Kamani Palihakkara, President SLAGSC Seva Vanitha branch graced the occasion as the chief guest. She was warmly welcomed by Mrs Fathima Yusuf, Secretary, SLAGSC Seva Vanitha branch.
More than 200 donors attended the blood donation camp representing various Regiments located in the Panagoda Army Cantonment which was conducted for more than 06 hours. Each donor was given a Memento to appreciate their meritorious deed. The programme was organized by the Commanding Officer and all Ranks of 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.
The services rendered by the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch towards blood donation in 2017 was appreciated by National Blood Transfusion Service by awarding a certificate as the 3rd highest recorded blood donors of Sri Lanka in mobile campaign organized island wide.
