A Leadership Development Programme was conducted for Senior Non Commissioned Officers of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps from 22 May 2018 to 03 June 2018 (13x Days) at SLAGSC Trade School, Kuttigala to improve the Leadership Skills on the instructions of Maj Gen W R Palihakkara USP, Colonel Commandant, SLAGSC.
Lectures were conducted covering the subjects i.e. Military Leadership, Traditions, Customs & Etiquettes of the Army, Service Writing, Public Speaking Skills.
An educational tour to historic Locations and important Locations in and around Kuttigala / Embilipitiya / Udawalawa such as ancient mansion at Maduwanwala, Elephant Orphanage (Ath Athuru Sevana), Udawalawa reservoir, Hot water springs at Mudunagala, the first ancient built across Walawe river, at Liyangastota contributed immensely to improve the awareness of participants in respect of the history, cultural values and environmental and bio diversity of Sri Lanka.
