The new Officers Mess Building of 6 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (Volunteer) was declared opened by the Major General W R Palihakkara USP, Colonel Comdt, SLAGSC on 20 March 2018 on the invitation of Lieutenant Colonel Sarath de Silva SLAGSC, Commanding Officer, 6 SLAGSC (V).
Colonel Commandant presented a painting to the New Officers' Mess on behalf on all SLAGSC Officers. Soon after the ceremonial opening of the New Officers Mess building, Colonel Commandant was invited to plant a Mango sapling in the premises by CO - 6 SLAGSC (V) which was followed by a group photograph with all officers present for the occasion.
Director, Agriculture and Livestocks, Brigadier A K A B Gunaratne, Centre Commandant, Colonel W A A C P Weragoda USP, Commandant Trade School, Colonel R P S Padmashantha Lsc, Commanding Officers of 3rd & 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Regimental Adjutant and few other senior officers were present at this occasion.
Col Comdt left his signature in the Visitors' Book before his departure from Kandakadu.
