Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps became the Champion of the Inter Regiment Bodybuilders Championship 2017. This mega indoor event was held from 14th November 2017 to 16th November 2017 at the Sri Lanka Army Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Power lifting Gymnasium premises in Panagoda with the participation of talented competitors from all regiments in the Army. During the finals held on 16th November 2017, SLAGSC Body Building team became the Champions of the year. The Chief Filed Engineer, Maj Gen D S Weeraman psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and he was received by the Chairman of the Army Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Power Lifting Committee, Maj Gen W R Palihakkara USP.
Also Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps secured 2nd and 3rd places in Power Lifting and Weight Lifting respectively.
