The Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps conducted a farewell dinner in honour of Major General D C S Wanniarachchi Lsc who retired after completing a distinguished military service, at Officers’ Mess, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on 17th October 2017.
Featuring the traditional event, first, he reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the Regimental Headquarters and accepted the regimental salute accorded by the Regiment. All officers present were posed for a photograph with the Major General
The arrival of the Chief Guest and the Lady at the Officers’ Mess was heralded by a fanfare. They were warmly welcomed by the Colonel Commandant, Major General Wajira Palihakkara and his Lady Kamani Palihakkara. The evening was glorified by the attendance of senior officers and their ladies and the Chief Guest shared a cheerful moment amidst the tune of the Army Band.
