With the support of the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC and under the guidance of the President Mrs. Nayomani De Silva the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch organized a meritorious almsgiving and a dansala on 14 March 2026 in celebration of International Women’s Day.
During the morning session alms were offered to twelve members of the Maha Sangha. In the evening a noodles dansala was held at the Sri Lankarama Temple premises where meals were served to over 2,000 devotees.
The event was attended by the Colonel Commandant Brigadier M.K.S.S. De Silva, the President Mrs. Nayomani De Silva, the Secretary Mrs. Disna Demuni, Mrs. Jayamali Balasooriya, Col RM Balasooriya , Lt Col Kanchana Wijayasinghe , Lt Col EMMD Bandara Lsc and senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
