SLAGSC Rugby players were crowned as the champions in the inter regiment Rugby championship during the last 07 years making history in the sphere of Sports discipline in the Sri Lanka Army. These achievements are the outcome of commitment, sacrifice and sweat of all players and all members of the Regiment of SLAGSC.
In an acknowledgement of the grater achievements of the SLAGSC Rugby team Maj Gen W R Palihakkara USP, Col Comdt SLAGSC distributed new rugby shoes and rugby kits to 25 x Rugby players on Tuesday (04), evening at the RHQ premises. S/702410 Cpl Randev K W S, 3 SLAGSC (P&R) 110 M hurdle champion athlete of the Sri Lanka Army and ranking No 2 in the event at national level too was gifted a pair of spikes worth of Rs: 25,000.00 prior to the Defence Services Athletic Meet - 2018 and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) selection meet during the same occasion. Colonel Chanaka Weragoda USP, Centre Commandant, Lt Col Nalin de Silva SLAGSC, CO - 3 SLAGSC (P&R) / Snr offr in charge of Regtl Rugby Team, Capt D G J Bandula SLAGSC, officer in charge of SLAGSC Rugby Team and senior staff officers of RHQ SLAGSC were attendance.
