FELICITATION PARADE OFFERED TO NEWLY PROMOTED TWO STAR GENERAL

Major General A M K G P S K Abeysinghe was honoured with a Guard Turnout and Admirable Parade for his promotion to the rank of Major General on 05th January 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda.

The newly promoted Major General Priyantha Abeysinghe sincerely welcomed by the Centre Commandant Colonel MKSS De Silva on his arrival to the Regimental Headquarters. Thereafter, he was bestowed with Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance followed by wreath laying at the RHQ Monument. Then Major General A M K G P S K Abeysinghe took salute at the Admirable Parade in conformity with the military traditions.

The occasion was manifest with a Tea party at the RHQ Lecture Hall where the Chief Guest was greeted by all Officers and ORs witnessed the occasion. Presently Major General Priyantha Abeysinghe is serving as Derector General Budget and Financial Management. Regimental Council Members, the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers & Other Ranks were present at the Felicitation Ceremony.
