Major General M H P Mihindukulasooriya USP psc Lsc Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps relinquished the appointment of Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps amidst formal military honors on 29 August 2017.
A series of formalities were observed in connection with the relinquishment of the appointment and commenced with the reviewing of the Guard Turn Out accorded to the outgoing Colonel Commandant on arrival to the venue. He was received by Colonel Chanaka Mettananda, the Centre Commandant. Thereafter, the Chief Guest was ushered to the saluting dais of the parade ground to receive military honors.
Addressing the troops, outgoing Colonel Commandant thanked all senior officers and the staff along with parade commander and troops for the excellent arrangements made on his behalf. He was thanked to all ranks and every individual including the retired members and civil servants for the indelible support extended during his tenure.
The day’s proceedings reached the culmination with the departure of Major General M H P Mihindukulasooriya USP psc Lsc from the Office of the Colonel Commandant.
