The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General M W T C Mettananda USP ndc marked his maiden visit to 1 Bn of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on 18 November 2022.
The Colonel Commandant was accorded with a Drive Pass at the main entrance of 1 SLAGSC on his arrival and welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 1 SLAGSC Major AMTCB Adhikari Lsc. At the outset Commanding Officer of 1 SLAGSC briefed about the role, task and the present deployment. Subsequently the Colonel Commandant planted a sapling to mark his visit and took a group photograph in front of the 1 SLAGSC.
Afterwards, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops. The day's itinerary was concluded with an all Ranks tea.
