Children’s Day Celebration was successfully held on 27 September 2025 by Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) successfully organized a Children’s Day Celebration on 27th September 2025 at the Gymnasium, Panagoda, for 100 children (grade 1 to 5)of officers, other ranks, war heroes, and the civil staff.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC. She was accompanied by the Centre Commandant, Colonel KADCJ Kodithuwakku, and the Secretary, Mrs. Disna Kodithuwakku, along with senior Seva Vanitha members, Officers, and parents.

The entire programme was thoughtfully planned and executed by Major EMMD Bandara Lsc SLAGSC, The Commanding Commanding Officer of 4 SLAGSC (P&R), and his dedicated staff, in coordination with the Seva Vanitha Branch.

The celebration featured a series of engaging and entertaining activities, including:

- Art Competition - Magic Show - Drama by the Directorate of Army Band and performing Arts - DJ music session for dancing

Children were delighted to receive a special gift bank serving book worth Rs 1000, penguin-shaped till (potty). colourful balloons, and a variety of sweets, snacks, drinks, and ice cream.The celebration ended with smiles, laughter, and warm memories that will last a lifetime.
