A highly successful blood donation program was organized by the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) on 21st March 2025. The event was held at the Lecture Hall of the SLAGSC premises, with the invaluable support of the medical team from the Narahenpita Army Hospital. The program was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC and Vice President Mrs Nayomi De Silva and few Senior Seva Vanitha member took part.
The initiative saw an impressive turnout, with over 100 donors representing all ranks generously participating in this noble cause. Their contributions will significantly support patients in need of blood transfusions throughout the Army.
The program was conducted smoothly and efficiently, thanks to the excellent coordination between the Commanding Officer of 4 SLAGSC (P&R), Major EMMD Bandara, his staff, and the Seva Vanitha Branch. The event not only underscored the critical importance of blood donation but also showcased the spirit of unity, compassion, and service among all involved.
All donors were appreciated with a token of gratitude for their selfless contributions.
