Under the guidance of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, and supervision of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the Chairperson of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit(ASVU), along with the full contribution of its members, a Soup Dansala was organized at the premises of Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya on 01 May 2026, in line with the Poya Day observance.
During the event, cream corn soup was distributed among more than 3,000 devotees, including those who participated in the Sil observance programme at the Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya and other visitors to the temple. This soup dansala was successfully conducted as yet another commendable community service initiative carried out by the unit for the benefit of the civilian public.
