The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of ASVU, conducted a programme to refurbish and hand over oxygen tank carrier trolleys to the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases, Welisara, on 27 April 2026 at the hospital premises.
During the programme, 20 oxygen tank carrier trolleys, which had previously been in an unusable condition, were repaired and donated to the hospital for continued use. Financial assistance for this initiative was generously provided by Mrs. Rita Franz.
Dr. Dhammika Rasnayake, Thoracic Surgeon of the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases, Senior Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
